The Vaticinia de Summis Pontificibus, aka Vaticinia Nostradamus

September 27, 2009

This article is issued by the Holy Office, is derived from the Sunday Sermon of the Roman Pontiff Augustine on September 27, 2009, and refers to the book known as the Vaticinia Nostradamus.  The Holy Offices discusses the tome's material with the following important caveat: there is much to the idea that Nostradamus was a heretic and a warlock.  In other words, he was a seer among the pagans.  But, there are other indications in his writings that he may have repented of these things and once again embraced the fullness of the Catholic Faith prior to his death.  Some of his writings clearly indicate, for example, that Protestantism is a pernicious heresy.  These sorts of indications bring hope that in the end he knew to fear the fires of eternal damnation, and if he was conducting any experiments not worthy of the name, that he repented and abjured this association with malignant and evil spirits.

Further, the Apostolic See references Justin Martyr who in his apologetical discourses shewed forth the writings of the heathen poets and sybilline oracles, to prove the truth of Christ.  Further, we think of the book of Numbers, where the Lord used the heathen prophet Balaam to confound Israel’s enemies.  Therefore, We do not think it beyond the scope to examine the pictures of this man known as Nostradamus, in his book called the Vaticinia Nostradamus, now mainly known as his “lost book”.  Further, it is important to note that this book was locked in the Vatican Archives, since long before the Vatican II apostasy.  Our Predecessors held this book in safe keeping for a reason.

Before we look at the pictures, the Apostolic See wishes to clarify that the Vaticiania Nostradamus was very possibly not even prepared or written by Nostradamus, but was in fact written by another Catholic seer.  We quote the following:

The Vaticinia Michaelis Nostradami de Futuri Christi Vicarii ad Cesarem Filium D. I. A. Interprete (The Prophecies of Michel Nostradamus on the Future Vicars of Christ to Cesar his son, as expounded by Lord Abbot Joachim), or Vaticinia Nostradami (The Prophecies of Nostradamus) for short, is a collection of eighty watercolor images compiled as an illustrated codex.  A version of the well-known Vaticinia de Summis Pontificibus of the 13th-14th century, it was discovered in 1982 by the Italian journalists Enza Massa and Roberto Pinotti in the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma (Central National Library) in Rome, Italy.  The document can be found in the library under the title, "Fondo Vittorio Emanuele 307".

A postscript by Carthusian librarians states that the book had been presented by one Brother Beroaldus to cardinal Maffeo Barberini, who would later become Pope Urban VIII (1623-1644). A further covering note suggests that the images were by the French seer Nostradamus (1503-1566), and had been sent to Rome by his son César de Nostredame as a gift. There is, however, absolutely no contemporary evidence that Nostradamus himself was either a painter or the author of the work, whose contents in fact date from several centuries before his time -- nor, indeed, that he had ever heard of it, given that it did not finally appear in print until after his death.  The postscript is in fact dated '1629', and the covering note (not in Nostradamus's hand) from which the 'Nostradamian' title derives cannot, on the basis of its contents, date from earlier than 1689 - though an internal note does refer to a source dated '1343'…The origin of the work is clearly the 13-14th century Vaticinia de Summis Pontificibus [of the ultimate Pope], in which most of the images (including Image 23 opposite) are to be found. By way of example, its Image 12 corresponds to the latter's Image 9, Image 18 to 15, Image 23 to 20, Image 24 to 21 and Image 29 to 26 (note, too, the similarity of sequence).  A work similar to this is Marston MS 225, which can be found in the manuscript and rare-book library of Yale University, in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. This manuscript comes from the German areas of Bavaria and Bohemia, probably from within the courts of emperor Frederick III and Maximilian I. It has been proposed that this document may have had an impact on the various sovereigns of the Holy Roman Empire.

Knowing that there are even prophets among the heathens, and knowing further that the Church has always taught that personal righteousness is not always joined to the gift of prophecy, even though the two are often conjoined, We proceed:

Description: cid:image003.jpg@01CA3FBF.5E8A0F10

This picture from the book points out an Ark that exists under a wheel.  The wheel, as is clear from other images in the book, symbolizes the astronomical alignment of the divine and terrestrial crosses in the heavens, which is marked to occur in 2012.  This alignment takes place between a particular set of constellations that is outlined elsewhere in the book.

The wheel is indicating that at the time when this alignment (which occurs roughly every 15,000 years) is to next occur, it will be as the days of Noah.  This references the prophecy of our Lord spoken in Matthew 24 where He declares the end "will be as the days of Noah".  Once again, there will be an Ark that is set up.  But this Ark is in the mind and the Spirit, which is why it is above the head of the man who reads.  It will not be a physical Ark, but rather the spiritual Ark which is the Church of Christ.  Outside of this Ark, Outside of the Church, there is no salvation as taught in numerous dogmas.  Numerous saints in every age have referred to the Catholic Church as the spiritual Ark of the New Covenant.

Below the ark women and men are speaking to one another, as though all things were normal.  This marks the fact that, as the days of Noah, people will be marrying, making merry, feasting, and those sorts of things prior to the times of destruction marked in the Apocalypse.  This fact is also discussed by our Lord in Matthew 24.  Meanwhile, the Church will be a mere remnant of believers, who teach that there is no salvation outside of the One Ark, the Catholic Church.  Thus, just like the time of Noah, this remnant will be saved in the Ark, and the rest outside the ark (below the line of division in the picture) will all perish in the floodwaters of the just anger of God.  Except in this case, it will be the fire that comes to burn up the adversaries rather than the water.  We see the man reading, which is a reference to Pope Augustine, who dressed in plain clothes, like Saint Peter before him, will come upon the truth through reading and scholarly study, and all those remnant faithful who shall come to the truth the same way.  Compared to the people outside the Ark (below the line), it is only one person, a remnant, who will be saved.

Moving to the next image written by this mysterious seer:

Description: cid:image004.jpg@01CA3FB9.C4A27040

We find here the cup of the blood of Christ.  Those who have studied theology and the sacraments, can see that this easily refers to the destruction of the consecration of the bread and wine.

When Antipope Paul VI instituted the New “Mass” in 1969, the words of consecration were so dramatically altered that it has raised rightful doubts as to whether the consecration is even taking place, and the wine is actually transubstantiated into the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus.  In addition, Antipope Paul VI instituted a completely new rite of ordination in the early 1970s.  This new rite of ordination is so similar to the Anglican one which was condemned by Our Predecessor Leo XIII, that it is morally certain that the orders from that rite are completely invalid.  This would make every bishop, and every priest, ordained according to that rite invalid, and not a real bishop or priest.  What this cup symbolizes, dear faithful, is the corruption of the cup of Christ.  We see here a serpent spewing out darts of poison.  This is the poisonous cup of the wrath of the whore of Babylon, who drinks of the wine of the fornication of God’s anger, when in 1969, Antipope Paul VI changed the rite of the Mass, and in 1972, he changed the rite of ordination to something which is invalid.  For unless the sacrament of consecration and ordination contain the proper matter and form, the sacraments are invalid according to the councils of Florence and Trent.  This matter and form is passed down from the Apostles themselves, and cannot be changed as though it were a mere legal formality.  The Apostolic See will be issuing detailed decrees on this matter.  We see also that the cup of Christ’s blood appears to be in the midst of a barren wasteland.  This symbolizes the fact that all will be barren in this false sect of Vatican II, begun in 1958.

Many of the images are simply astronomical imagery.  The drawer focuses on the astrological imagery, especially the alignment of the divine and terrestrial crosses, to point those with wisdom to the general period of the Apocalypse.  He is concerned with identifying the time as much as the substance of the Apocalypse.

We encourage the faithful to examine the other images, which are essentially all images of the Roman Pontiffs and the affliction of the Church.  We encourage more examination into these prophecies.  The secular owned “History Channel", which discusses this book which was long kept in the Vatican archives, hardly even touches upon the fact that most of the images involve Roman Pontiffs, the faithful, as well as symbols of the Great Monarch, including his limp as predicted by the medieval Catholic prophets as discussed by the historian Yves Congar (as seen where the serpent bites the heel of the French Monarch in one of the images).

The very first image among the pages is the picture of what appears to be St. Benedict, and the order of the Benedictines.  This would match up with the well known prophecy of St. Benedict that his order would have an important part to play in the end times, and that a few Benedictines would remain among the remnant of those who are saved.

This may ultimately refer to either the Dimonds of Most Holy Family Monastery (who have done well in their documentation and witness to the Apostasy) if they convert, or some other Benedictine order:

Description: cid:image005.jpg@01CA3FBD.EB7BAC00

This picture also happens to be the very first image in the manuscript.  This matches the understanding that the remnant faithful Benedictines will be the first sign of the Apostasy.  Therefore it is no surprise that Peter and Michael Dimond (Most Holy Family Monastery) began to show forth the truth in their writings (we see two books being given to the listeners marking that these will be two monks perhaps, or two works), even before the Pontiff Augustine began to build the spiritual Ark in the year two thousand eight (symbolized by the first picture above).  At present the Most Holy Family Monastery is actually schismatic, but in time Pope Augustine is hopeful that they will be converted, or else some other Benedictine order will shine forth.

Description: cid:image006.jpg@01CA3FBE.C2A06C70

We see in this next image the fleur-de-lis, which is the sign of the royalty of France.  This marks the prophecy regarding the Great Monarch, who will restore Catholic order for a few decades before the final battle with Antichrist.  The Great Monarch will reign and restore righteousness with the help of Pope Augustine.  We see a tortoise in the picture, again symbolizing that this Monarch will have a limp, and will defeat his enemies by the power of God, rather than his own pure might and effort.  The heart cast on its side means that the Great Monarch will go forth through the world, and spread the supernatural charity of God, uniting the world to God again by his conquests.  This union is symbolized by the ring.

Description: cid:image007.jpg@01CA3FBE.C2A06C70

We see here a picture of Pope Augustine.  We notice that the angel announces his Pontificate from heaven.  This demonstrates that Augustine will be declared Pope by Christ according to Epikeia and the principle of the intent of the law, and that his papacy would be declared spiritually from heaven.  His authority, symbolized by the keys in his hand, are declared directly by the angels, right next to and above the keys.  This declaration is not from earth and the ordinary process of papal election, but directly from heaven, with a heavenly trumpet blast.  He would not be elected in the normal way, as there would be no way to hold an election, since the last true Pope and true Cardinals would have reigned fifty years ago.  The triple tiered tiara, three crosses on the staff of authority, and the keys all of course refer to the papal authority of Augustine, the triplicity of the tiara being the traditional crown of the Roman Pontiff.

It is important that the Faithful view the following video starting at the five minute mark while reading the following commentary:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPm6qCHCvjo&feature=PlayList&p=C7D187407561D47A&index=14

Beginning at about 5:00 minutes into the video, the discussion of the all important astronomical alignment on December 21, 2012 is given.  It is important to note that God has always used the language of the stars to help His prophet understand the signs of the times, including that bright star located above the stable of Christ.  Therefore, it is imperative that the faithful pay careful heed to the stars as they attempt to time the arrival of the Apocalypse.  The stars are in fact the very clock of God, and God can use the alignments of the stars to time the events of the end.  God does not use the stars to show us the substance of the events of the future as the damnable “astrologers” believe, but He can use the stars as His clock to show us when something would occur.  The stars and their courses, as Genesis 1 declares, are to determine the seasons and the times, and this itself is an amazing prophecy.

At 7:45 the video begins to discuss Image 67.  The image has the phrase upon it “One Male” in the right leaf of the book.  The History Channel interpretation explains this incorrectly.  “One Male” does not refer to Osama Bin Laden or the Antichrist.  Rather, it refers to the One Male Augustine, the One final Pope, the only one on earth who still holds to the Catholic Faith.  The vertical belt is aligned up just to the left and slightly in front of the center of the wheel.   This  belt refers to the perpendicular axis rising up from the earth (the point of the observer) that will align with the center of the galaxy (the center of the wheel) on December 21, 2012 where the arrow is pointed.  It is indicating that a few years prior to this cosmic alignment, there will be One Man left in the Church, the Pope Augustine.  This does not mean that others will not convert as a result of his writings (symbolized by the man with the book), but it will mean that at some point just prior to December 21, 2012, there will literally be only one male left in the Church militant upon the earth.  It will be even worse than the days of Noah, when a mere eight were saved.  On the other page in the book, one sees the tree of knowledge.  This refers to the fact that One Male will be left in the Church, and will impart the appropriate knowledge and life to the people.  Unlike the other text in the book which is written in French, “one male” is written in English.  This refers to the fact that this One Male, the Roman Pontiff Augustine, will speak and write English as his primary language, and be of English ancestry.

The rest of the commentary involves this video, part 3 in the 3 part series:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbpER_qKkcI&feature=PlayList&p=C7D187407561D47A&index=1

After some explanation of the origin of the manuscript, at 2:40 the discussion regarding the meaning of the images continues.  The constellations are again discussed to show forth the time revealed in the images.  Esp at 2:51.   See Especially 3:00-3:20.  Here it demonstrates conclusively the meaning of the cosmic alignment.  The tree of knowledge regarding the events of the Apocalypse and the interpretation of the manuscript, imparted by the One Male left in the Catholic Church, the English speaking and writing Pope Augustine, will be revealed once again just prior to when the perpendicular line of sight from earth will be imparted between the two constellations of Scorpio and Saggitarius.

At about 3:27 in the video there is the reference to the paschal lamb in the image, which of course represents the end of time, the Apocalypse and the lamb of God displayed on the throne.

At 3:37, it is explained why the 8 spoked wheel is so important.  For this represents an alignment not only with the center of the galaxy, happening on December 21, 2012, but also the perfect alignment of the Divine and Terrestrial crosses.  This alignment happens once every 13,000 years.  The next occurance will happen on December 21, 2012.  At this time, Pope Augustine will be a complete man, symbolized by the fact that he will be 33.3 years of age on that date.  It is important that the faithful pay careful attention to this section of the video, and the corresponding manuscript images.

Description: cid:image006.jpg@01CA4001.FE78B930

At 4:44 in the video, the spokesman discusses how this image of the scorpion and the spoke, points out when the Apocalypse will happen, again from a few years before December 21, 2012 (when Pope Augustine is crowned Pontiff), to a few years after December 21, 2012.  See how the sword points just before the center of the wheel in image 68.  This points to the beginning of the Apocalypse when Pope Augustine begins to impart life and knowledge to the world from the tree.  The tree again refers to the revealing of God’s knowledge of the Apocalypse by Augustine, using the book from the Vatican Archives.  It also refers to the restoration of the tree of life, the restoration of the Faith of God and true spiritual life on the earth since the beginning of the Great Apostasy in 1958.

Description: cid:image008.jpg@01CA4001.FE78B930

At about 6:40 in the video, the commentator discusses that the Ark refers to “what spiritual authority will save us”.  Little does he realize that this refers to Pope Augustine himself, and the true remnant Catholic Church.  For it was God’s providence that this Vaticania Nostradamus would be preserved in the Vatican Library, to show that this is indeed the library that one must pay attention to in order to explain the end of time.

Finally, at 7:20 in the video, image 72 is displayed where a man is looking intently at the reader, showing them his book.  This is again a reference to the fact that at the end of time, Pope Augustine will show the truth of these images, even as he is showing them to you right now.

Description: cid:image013.jpg@01CA4001.FE78B930

Finally brethren, the image of picture of Pope Augustine points out the exact time of the proclamation of his Pontificate.  Reproducing an image that has already been discussed above:

Description: cid:image001.jpg@01CA4000.300BAE50

Notice the chord of Pope Augustine’s belt.  It occurs IMMEDIATELY PRIOR to the alignment of the chords on his chest.  The belt again matches up with the ribbon in the first image above, and also the sword in the second image (numbered image 68).  The cross on Pope Augustine’s chest, the chords, refers to the Divine Cross, or the four spoked portion of the wheel in the other images above (the complete 8 spokes of the wheel being the combination of the divine and terrestrial crosses and their alignment on December 21, 2012).  This means that a few years prior to December 21, 2012, the last and final Pontiff Petrus Romanus will be proclaimed from heaven, when the ribbon/sword/belt is about to be perfectly aligned with the center of the wheel spokes.  This proclamation of Augustine’s papal authority from heaven (not according to a normal election, but directly from heaven) is symbolized by the angel blowing His trumpet just above the Keys of Peter.  This happened from 2008- 2009, when the papacy of Augustine was established.  This indeed has now happened, just prior to the perfect alignment of the chord with the center of the galaxy.

The sun is rising because this also corresponds to the alignment.  The sun must rise directly at the point of the alignment.  This is also shown in the videos referenced.

Upon awaking, the Lord revealed to the Pontiff the following insight as though carried over from a dream:

Moving on now to the meaning of the following images, which are a prediction of the name of the final Pontiff.  This proves that the Pontiff is anointed by God, and is indeed the true Pontiff of the final days:

Description: cid:image003.jpg@01CA4415.54214930

Now the meaning of this image is the following: the great tower structure is the Church of God.  Notice that it is located in the middle of a great wasteland.  The building itself, despite its magnificence, is practically empty on the inside, for we see no people filling the giant halls and windows.  The wasteland refers to the utter spiritual desolation which lies outside of the palace of God, the Church.  The practical emptiness refers to the fact that in these last days hardly anyone will be saved.

The hands at the top of the castle refer to the ruler of the castle, which is the ruler of the Church, which is the Roman Pontiff.  The three hands on each side refers to the name of the Roman Pontiff.  The family crest of the last name of the Roman Pontiff is three hands:

Description: cid:image005.jpg@01CA4415.54214930

Description: cid:image009.png@01CA4414.17FAFD80

This is the original family crest of the Roman Pontiff.  Notice it consists solely of three hands.  We now quote an authoritative source on the meaning of this Crest:

The [name omitted] family owes it's beginning to King Pepin and Queen Bertha of France. The parents of King Charles I (aka Charlemagne) and his sister Bertha. Now Bertha married Milo, Duke of Aigiant and they are the parents of the line. Their son, christened by the name, a diminutive of Bertha became the favorite of his uncle (Charlemagne) who watched over him. On one occasion, during the Festivale of Pentecost, at the Great Court and Tournament, an important event relating to the Coat-of-Arms occured. It seems that a son of the Duke of Aymon, named Raynard, ventured into the chambers of the King demanding a payment in gold for the death of his uncle Bevis. Charlemagne, enraged by the insolence, removed the glove from his left hand and threw it into Raynards face, thus creating a challenge to which Raynard chose to withdraw. [Name omitted] retrieved the glove from the floor returning it to Charlemagne. Among other things, he was a master of chess. History says that, Sir Gordon, known as the mischief-maker, coursed [name omitted] to challenge Raynard in a game of chess. After playing six games, tempers rose and the meet erupted with words and blows upon which Raynard picked up the heavy gold chess board and brought it down on the head of [name omitted] sending him to the floor. Where upon Raynard drew his sword and brought it down splitting [name omitted]’s head leaving him dead on the ground. Charlemagne hearing of the death of his nephew decreed that the family would be recognized by three left-handed gloves with gold tassels to be emblazoned upon it's Coat-of-Arms.

The Pontiff omits his actual last name here for purposes of protection only.  The faithful can either figure it out by playing a game of chess with the ancestor of the chessmaster of the court of Charlemagne, or convert and be shown the rest of this fulfillment.  This is the riddle of God, like that given by Samson to the Philistines.   Those who are truly among the faithful, and convert, and discover his true name will see that the Pontiff does indeed possess the full last name in fulfillment of this prophecy.

Now Raynard angrily drew his sword upon the Pontiff’s first ancestor that bears his name, because the Pontiff’s ancestor won the chess tournament, and chopped off his head  This explains the second image here where there is a hand chopping off the head of the Pontiff:

Description: cid:image010.jpg@01CA4415.54214930

Notice that each figure is on a stand, as though it is a chess piece.  This is a picture of the final prophesied Great Monarch and the final Pope.  The Pope is obviously the middle figure, highest in the picture because the Pope is the Supreme Authority, the spiritual ruler of the entire world, who rules with two swords as declared by His Predecessor Boniface VIII in Unam Sanctam (the spiritual and temporal swords), which Christ declared are enough for the man of God.  He wears the clerical garb.  The image to the left of him is the image of the Great Monarch, the final King, who looks upon the Pontiff for spiritual guidance.  The image of the hand chopping off the head of the Pope is a reference, once again to the Pope’s family Coat of Arms and the fact that it derives from the fact of the chopping off of the head of the Pontiff’s first ancestor.  The name of the Pontiff’s first ancestor in France is the original derivation of the last name of the Pontiff.  These are the pillars in the midst of a great desolation, which is the Great Apostasy.  The hand also likely refers to the witness of God in prophecy, which refers to the Pontiff and the King.  The King also refers to the fact that the family of the Pontiff was given its last name by King Charlemagne.  This is also why the King looking at the Pontiff is dressed in red, and the hand is dressed in red.  This refers to King Charlemagne dubbing the Pontiff’s family with its particular last name.

Finally, referring back to the first picture above, with the six hands, there are a total of six hands because six refers to the number of man according to the scripture.   Thus the six hands refer to the name of a man.  Thus it is signifying that there will be a man at the head of the Church, a desolated almost empty Church, in the final days.  Also, six refers to the fact that the first name of the Pontiff has six letters.  Six refers to “a man”, and the first name is that which denotes the particular identity of a particular man.  Thus six is portrayed.  The first name of the Pontiff is an almost symmetrical name that has six letters.

The Pontiff of course reveals his true name to all who convert to the Faith, for faith is the beginning of things hoped for, and we believe in order that we may know, but will not give it out freely in this particular pronouncement.

The Vaticinia Michaelis Nostradami de Futuri Christi Vicarii ad Cesarem Filium D. I. A. Interprete thus predicts Pope Augustine’s first and last name, and the Apostolic See points out that this also explains why Augustine is called Peter “the Roman” (Petrus Romanus) by the Prophet Malachy.  His family crest was given directly by Charlemagne, the first King of the Holy Roman Empire.  Augustine's first ancestor of his surname was a respected member and defender of the high court of Charlemagne.

And like Peter, Pope Augustine denied Christ in three ways (heresy, schism, apostasy) in his early days.  Like Peter, Pope Augustine dresses in lay clothes.  Like Peter, Pope Augustine engages in a secular occupation to help support himself for now.  Like Peter in his time, Pope Augustine is hardly known to the unbelieving world.  Like Peter, Pope Augustine was appointed directly by Christ and not elected.   We are the Roman, because Our Coat of Arms was given directly by that great and ancient leader of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne; and we are descended from an ancestor of his high court.

In further fulfillment of the Prophecy Saint Malachy, the list of Malachy does not number Petrus Romanus like he numbers the other Popes.  Augustine therefore technically shares the same number as Gloria Olivae, which means he begins his reign during the reign of Gloria Olivae.  Further, the lack of a number prior to his name refers to the fact that his papacy is hidden, and eclipsed.  "Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of AntiChrist, the Church will be in eclipse" - Our Lady the Blessed Virgin at La Sallette.

This Coat of Arms is plainly illustrated in the Vaticiania, even to the point of showing the origin of the coat comes from a dispute over a chess match, by placing the principal actors on illustrated chess pieces in one of the images.

Those who see these prophecies from God, and still refuse to submit to the final Pontiff, are extremely seared and evil, and resist God’s will.

Thus ends the divine and papal explanation of the images.

These images may be found in many places, the more complete collections with corresponding page numbers found in various videos on the internet.

+Decree of the Holy Office

DATED this 27th day of September, 2009
